We rolled into the Tesla Supercharger and Diner with just 6% battery left — not exactly the most relaxing situation for me, especially in the middle of LA traffic. I’m one of those people who gets a little bit of range anxiety when the charge dips too low unlike my very trusting family that sits at 6% with ease. As we approached the Supercharger, it said all stalls were full and we could anticipate a 10-minute wait. And then, as we pulled up, in a perfect little plot twist, the attendant pulled back the cones, let us into the lot and we scored a front-row charger spot like the universe had reserved it just for us!
And that wasn’t the only surprise.
The diner? Genuinely cool. I thought it may have been overhyped, but honestly, it was solid.
Giant screens played movies across the main lot, the flow of traffic was smooth and intentional, and the whole design felt like a nod to the future — simple, sleek, and somehow still nostalgic.
We ordered right from the car: burgers, fries, drinks, and — my personal gamble — a tuna melt.
Now let’s pause there, because we all know a tuna melt can go either way. But I’m here to report: it was delicious. Crispy, hints of dill, and exactly what I didn’t know I needed in this particular moment. Absolute win.
It felt like a gift from the universe: the charger, the parking spot, the unexpectedly perfect tuna melt — all coming together in a small but joyful pause.
So here’s to the stops that recharge more than just the car.
To tuna melts that restore our faith in travel snacks.
To ease, simplicity, and the joy of letting the road surprise you.
Because sometimes, 6% battery is just enough —
to land exactly where you need to be.
