Fueled or Drained? Listen to Your Energy.

Pay Attention to What Fuels or Drains You

One of the simplest but most powerful truths I’ve learned is this:
Pay attention to what fuels you — and what drains you.

Most of us are taught to push through.
To hustle, muscle, grind, and “just get through it.”
But what if feeling fueled wasn’t random?
What if it was actually your most trustworthy signal that you’re moving in alignment with who you truly are?

Your Energy Is a Clue

When you feel lit up, expansive, clear — that’s not luck.
That’s resonance.
It means you’re tapping into your natural strengths:
the way you’re wired to contribute, think, connect, and create.

When you feel drained, resistant, foggy — pay attention.
It’s not weakness.
It’s a signal.
Something about the task, the environment, or the approach is out of sync with your best self.

You Always Have a Choice

We don’t always get to drop every draining task — but we can be more conscious:

  • Is this a challenge I can approach differently?
  • Can I use a strength to tackle it in a better way?
  • Or is it truly time to let it go and pivot my energy elsewhere?

When we get aware, we get agency.
We choose where our energy flows — or where it leaks.
We learn to spend more time feeling fueled than fighting frustration and burnout.

A Simple Experiment

This week, try this:
Notice three moments that fueled you.
Notice three moments that drained you.
Ask: What strengths showed up in the fueled moments? What was missing in the drained ones?
Make one tiny shift — so next time, you tilt toward fuel instead of drain.

Alignment Feels Like Energy

Your energy is honest.
It’s telling you the truth about what fits your design.
Trust it.
And remember:
You get to choose, adjust, and align — every single day.

So as we kick off this Monday morning, feel fueled, my friends. It’s a sign you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
